Chris Walters - OFT

Chris Walters is the OFT’s Chief Economist and a member of its senior executive team. He heads the Office of the Chief Economist, which delivers the OFT's economic policy, research, thought leadership and evaluation, and supports its enforcement and markets work. In addition he is Head of Profession for the OFT’s economists. He has 20 years experience: before becoming Chief Economist, Chris was Director of Economics and Deputy Director of Mergers at the OFT. Prior to that he worked at the Competition Commission and in economic consulting, and was an academic at London Business School. He has also worked in Whitehall. Chris has presented and published widely and has a PhD in econometrics.
