Per Hellström - DG Competition, European Commission

Per Hellström leads one of the European Commission's Merger Units, with focus on the Energy, Environment and Automotive sectors. Mr. Hellström was previously in charge of the Antitrust Unit dealing with Information Technology, Internet and Consumer Electronics. Prior to that he was a member of the Legal Service of the European Commission, providing legal advice in the area of mergers and antitrust, as well as representing the Commission before the EU Courts.

Mr. Hellström has a law degree from the University of Lund in Sweden, and an LLM from the London School of Economics.
