Giulio Federico - DG Market, European Commission

Giulio Federico is a member of the Chief Economist Team at the Directorate General for Competition (European Commission). Prior to joining the European Commission in late 2011, he worked for over 10 years as an economic consultant on competition and regulatory issues, and was a Vice-President at Charles River Associates. His work at the European Commission focuses on mergers, and he has been involved in most of the Phase II investigations in 2012 and 2013. He is also been a Guest Professor at the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics since 2007. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Oxford.
