WHAT MAKES COMPETITION POLICY WORKS? Michael WISE - OECD Michael Wise is Head of Country Studies in the Competition Division of the OECD. He has been a consultant to the OECD on competition policy in regulation and regulatory reform since 1996. Previously he was at the US Federal Trade Commission, where he managed the programs of competition advocacy and technical assistance, served as attorney advisor to a commissioner and trial attorney in the international antitrust division. He also spent a year as a visiting scholar at the University of Chicago Law School. After leaving the FTC, he was a director of a public policy consulting firm, Jacobs & Associates, and a professor of law (adjunct) at American University’s Washington College of Law; before joining the FTC, he practiced law in the Washington office of Kirkland & Ellis. He received his J.D. from Yale Law School in 1974. |
