Giovanni CALABRO’ - Italian Competition Authority Giovanni CalabrĂ², who holds a law degree from La Sapienza University in Rome, is General Director of the Italian Competition Authority (AGCM). Before being appointed general director, he was Director of different departments within AGCM (Credit, Energy, Communications, Financial Services, Telecom and Transport). He also spent two years in the Merger Task Force Direction at the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission. Previously, he worked at Consob (the Italian securities market regulator) and was a Senior Consultant in the Financial Services division of Arthur Andersen. |
